2017 will be my 9th Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in a row!! It's hard to think back to 9 years ago! I hadn't been personally affected by cancer when I started this journey. It was December of 2009 when my dad was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. Despite dismal odds, he kicked it's butt! and he's still going strong, fiesty as ever!

2009 was also the year that our team, the Bandits for Boobies was born. We have grown and waned in size over the years, but we are one of the few teams that has shown up and placed in the top 10 fundraisers (or close to it) EVERY single year since our inception. In our 8 year history, our team has raised over $212,000!  

Throughout those years, we've heard many cancer stories and lost numerous friends and family to cancer, most recently my mom last June. We've all become warriors in the fight against breast cancer. We've become deeper, stronger and more dedicated than ever to standing up to this disease. 

We make it a point to bring our voices to this fight. But it is your donations that help us make an impact - through early screenings, in home meals to cancer patients, research and clinical trials, education and much more.  We walkers get to see the difference it makes every year on the faces of those fighting.
