Dear Family & Friends,
These last 6 months since I ended chemo have gone by fast. It hasn't always been easy, but I've been busy training and I feel ready to conquer the Avon Walk this coming weekend in Santa Barbara! I can't quite imagine what it will be like and how I will feel, but knowing that I'm surrounded by so many other people who have been through this, as well as my family who will be there to support me, is sure to prove to be very emotional.
I can't thank you all enough for the support and donations you have made. I'm so excited to be able to have raised so much for this amazing cause, but it's all of you who have been so generous. It is not too late if anyone would still like to make a donation. The John Wayne Cancer Institute at St. John's in Santa Monica is just one of the local organizations that benefit directly from the Santa Barbara Walk. I hold a very special place in my heart for the wonderful doctors at St. John's who have given me health and hope.
I know that I am bound to feel some of my old dance injuries long before I reach the finish line this weekend. I have no doubt that my enthusiasm for this cause to help wipe out breast cancer, along with the support, love and well wishes from my family, friends and some who don't even know me that well, will keep me going for all 39.3 miles.
From the bottom of my heart, very humbly and with deep gratitude, I thank you all.
Love,
Toni
